Welcome to living-downunder! I have created this website to share with you interesting content about emigrating to Australia as well as hiking through the beautiful landscapes downunder. I will try my best to find the most epic hikes in both New Zealand and Australia for you as this is something I am most passionate about in life!
My name is Janneke and I am in the process of making my way towards Australia. I come from the flattest country in the world of which ⅓ is under sea level, has the most bicycles in the world and it is known for its tall people: the Netherlands. After living there for 30 years I have decided to move to Melbourne with my husband.
I am working on turning my passion for hiking and the wonders (and struggles) of living downunder into an online website. I hope you will enjoy my blog just as much as I enjoy writing them.
